A step-by-step guide to using the Ceres database and analysis tools.
Ceres is an Saccharomyces cerevisiae promoter database that provides a number of interactive promoter visualization and analysis tools to facilitate the study of yeast promoter sequences. Importantly, Ceres integrates predicted, conserved, and experimentally validated transcription factor binding sites with genome-scale nucleosome positioning data.
Tutorials are provided for each of the five software tools provided by Ceres: Visualization, Chromatin Viewer, Gene Set Analysis, Data Mining, and Analysis.
The Ceres website and analysis tools work best with the Mozilla Firefox web browser, though in most cases, other commonly used web browsers should also work well. JavaScript must be enabled in the web browser for the Ceres web tools to function properly.

Note: Your browser's text size must be set to medium or smaller for all results to display correctly in Ceres. To
change this go to View -> Text Size -> Medium in Internet Explorer.
